Ensure that the motor power is turned off: Before connecting the stepper motor to the driver, make sure that the motor power is completely turned off to prevent electric shock or damage to the equipment.
Ensure that the motor power is turned off: Before connecting the stepper motor to the driver, make sure that the motor power is completely turned off to prevent electric shock or damage to the equipment.
Do not disconnect the motor when the drive is powered on: Do not attempt to disconnect the motor while the drive is powered on, as this may cause damage to the drive.
Precautions for motor lead connection:
It is not recommended to connect the motor leads to the ground or power source.
Before wiring, use a multimeter to measure the number of phases and center tap (if applicable) of the motor to ensure the accuracy of the wiring.
Driver installation environment:
The driver should be installed in a well ventilated environment to ensure heat dissipation.
If multiple drivers are used simultaneously in the cabinet, ensure that the distance between them is not less than 30mm, or install cooling fans as needed.
Correct connection of positive and negative poles of power supply: Before powering on, it is necessary to confirm that the positive and negative poles of the power supply are connected correctly to avoid damaging the driver.
Motor wiring method:
Four wire motor: There is usually only one connection method.
Six wire motor: There are two connection methods, series connection and center tap connection. In series mode, the motor has greater torque at low speeds, but at slower speeds; The center tap mode is faster.
Eight wire motor: There are two connection methods: series and parallel. The series mode has high low-speed torque and low high-speed torque, and the motor needs to operate at 50% of the parallel current to avoid overheating.
